 What is Parents as Teachers?

Parents as Teachers is an evidence-based home visiting model serving families from pregnancy through kindergarten. The model strengthens parenting skills, promotes healthy child development, and increases school readiness through personal visits, group connections, developmental screenings, and resource sharing.

The Hawaiʻi Parents As Teachers State Office

The Hawaiʻi Parents As Teachers State Office exists to support, strengthen, and align Parents as Teachers affiliates across the state. We serve as a connector, resource, and partner in delivering high-quality services to families. 

 Supporting Affiliates:

• Implementation guidance and technical assistance

• Communication and coordination across islands

• Fidelity and quality support

• Preparation support for reviews and accreditation

• Shared learning opportunities
